Here are some photos from the Habitat for Humanity build that we participated in June 23-25, 2005.

Erb and Erb Insurance Brokers Ltd. is proud to be a member of the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph communities since 1919.

We believe in giving back to the community that made us what we are today. We contribute to the United Way, have organized a Casual Friday Fund with proceeds donated to local charities and we sponsor local sports teams.

Every year for the past 13 years, Erb and Erb has run a United Way Workplace Campaign in our office. Having been a Pacesetter since 1997, Erb and Erb Insurance Brokers Ltd. continues to be successful in raising funds for the United Way. In 2004, $10,000 was raised for this important organization.

In 2003, we were able to take advantage of an opportunity to participate in the United Way's Loaned Representative Program. The Loaned Representative Program is a 14 week commitment in which an employee of a supporting business works full time for the United Way while the employee's firm continues to cover their salary and benefits.

Every Friday we offer our staff the opportunity to wear casual clothing to work. In order to participate, staff donate $15 over a two month period. These funds are then collected and donated to various charities. Every two months, recipient charities change. Our current list of charities consists of:

• Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Canadian Hearing Society
• Food Bank
• Hopewell Children's Homes
• Literacy Group
• Morningstar Family Ministries
• kidsLINK Foundation
• KW Pregnancy Resource Centre
• KW Sexual Assault
• Ray of Hope

Last year we have started to sponsor a local theatre in the downtown core called Theatre and Company. Located at 36 King Street West in Kitchener, Theatre and Company is a small community theatre founded in 1990. Theatre and Company earned its professional status through the early 90's and defined the aesthetic that is now described as "Necessary Theatre".
